"Got Your Answers" Written by Mike Greenberg, and Paul "Hembo" Hembekide, a sequel of sorts to the book "Got Your Number". Got Your Answers is a great book written with a mixture of gut instinct and LOADS of research, finding out the best of the best of all athletes, in all sports, in all times. We are debating the biggest wins, the best dynasties, the most clutch, and so on, and so on. This book is a ton of fun, and runs you through all major sports, and some of the greatest athletes, and greatest performances ever. This is entertaining, and I promise you will learn new sports facts!

Red Beard sits down with New York Times Best Selling Author Keith O'Brien to discuss his new Pete Rose biography. I highly recommend any and all baseball fans to get your hands on this book. Very well written, with much more research and details provided than ever before. Keith interviewed Pete, his family members, his teammates, his bookies, and many more. This is truly a book reporting on Pete's life, no judgements are made, no predictions are given. This is THE Pete Rose Story. It is also fascinating how this ties in SO WELL with all the questions surrounding Ohtani right now. Not sure how that will turn out, but there are some parallels that we are aware of right now.

Ep 11: Spring Training Wrap up and Expectations for 2024

Spring Training is wrapping up. Matt Johnson and I catch up, since our Spring Training game got rained out!
I was encouraged heading into this season, but lackluster performances, injuries, and the lack of another strong starting pitcher signed has me feeling less confident than I was a few weeks ago. 
We discuss where the Cardinals stand right now, and what needs to happen for them to have a somewhat successful season. 
To this point The Cardinals have a chance to win the NL Central, if things goes well, but not much else. They have not been built for a deep October run. If everything does not go well, then we may be in store for another disappointing summer. Hoping for the prior!

Ep 10: Oli Marmol Extension & Spring Break Out Game

Live from Hobby Card Shop! Today I'm hanging out with Balker Yager the Owner of the Hobby Card Shop and my good friend Matt Johnson.
Oli Marmol just received a 2 yr extension from the Cardinals, before this pivital season has even begun!
Spring Break Out game #1 just finished, we recorded this podcast live in store, then we headed right back over to the stadium for the big boys to play their Spring Training game that evening. 
We discussed the obsurdity of the timing of Marmol's extension, the ACTUAL goals of the Front Office, Victor Scott II, and some of the other players making a splash in spring training. 
Red Beard had the opportunity to throw out the first pitch. It was a big day.

Ep. 7 St. Louis Cardinals Signing Brandon Crawford & Starting Pitching Needs

Today I am talking to Dave Stovall, my cousin, lifelong Cardinals fan and owner of Texas Red Bird Remodeling. We discuss the Brandon Crawford signing, and the implications for the roster, and starting pitching needs. There are questions about the Cardinals self imposed salary cap, and what can be done to improve this roster beyond its current "Hopefully we win the division" way that it is set up. The Cardinals certainly took steps to improve this year's squad, but we are concerned that we may be left disappointed again. Depending on how this season unfolds, we may need to be looking higher into the organization with our concerns, and not just at the players and coaches.
